Hello!
I am Frida, I am the indie dyer, spinner, knitter and designer behind Friday Studios.
For as long as I can remember I have been creating things, starting with paper/tooth pick horses, polymer clay brooches, via drawing and pottery, working my way up to silver, jewelry, art and finally arriving at knitting, spinning and dyeing.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design, actually as an art jeweler. And I find that I can always draw on my past experiences in my present pursuits.
Fridays are my favorite days, so what could be a better name for my dyeing studio.
I am not a "take notes" kind of dyer, rather the "oh, thats inspiring" kind, but I have learned that it is quite disappointing to find you have a beautiful color way and no notes, so now there are notes. I have lots of repeated color ways but once in a while there will be a surge of inspiration, an accident or a mistake, these hanks are called Snowflakes, are unique and will never be repeated. Grab it if you like it! I am also glad to do custom colors.
